Chalet Pierra Menta 1 was built specifically for the operator and is fitted out to a high standard. It has been built to high ecological standards: amongst other features it benefits from eco-friendly zero emission bio-mass heating systems and the use of melted snow for providing water where untreated water can be used.
The open plan living and dining area of Pierra Menta 1 is on the first floor; there are large picture windows and a sun terrace with amazing views to the Pierra Menta peak the other side of the valley and all the way to Mont Blanc, 25 miles away.
There is plenty of comfortable seating around the log burning fire. The chalet has four bedrooms all with full en-suite facilities. The chalet has its own sauna and ski deposit with boot warmers.
Location: At the bottom of la Plagne 1800, it is just 100m from the Plagne 1800 chairlift out of the village and you can ski directly back to Chalet Pierra Menta. The chalet is a 10 minute walk from the village centre. |

Catering: | ::back to top | | Breakfast, afternoon tea and evening meal with good quality wines for 6 days (self-serve breakfast for the chalets staff's day off).
For breakfast you can eat as much or as little as you like. Choose from fruit juice, cereals, muesli, fresh French bread with butter and preserves, as well as cooked eggs, porridge or one of the hot options and of course tea or coffee. In addition, freshly baked croissants and pain au chocolat will be served.
For afternoon tea, the most informal meal of the day, help yourself to home made cake or scones and biscuits, either eaten at the table or relaxing.
In the evening you will receive canapés & aperitifs (non-alcoholic for children) before dinner and Cordon-Bleu style food. To complement your meal we serve free and unlimited good quality red and white wines during the course of dinner. After dinner a cheeseboard with fruit will be provided and then freshly ground coffee or decaffeinated coffee are served in the lounge. A fruit bowl is provided for your stay.
The evening meal is a dinner party style meal for adults and older children and is served at 8pm. For children aged 11 and under, high tea is served at 6pm, with child-friendly food. If you are travelling with children 12 years and older who require high tea, this must be requested prior to departure. If you are booking the whole chalet then you may all eat at the same time regardless of the age of the children.
Please mention any allergies or dietary requirements at time of booking and we will do our best to organise suitable catering for you. French supermarkets do not have the same range as British supermarkets, therefore if you have very strict dietary needs, it is helpful if you can bring a few items (e.g. gluten free cakes/biscuits for afternoon tea!) |
