Chalet Florence is being renovated this summer (2010): further to the ground floor bedrooms that were recently modernised the top two floors of the chalet are being completely re-built providing four new bedrooms on the first floor and a new lounge, dining area and kitchen on the second floor. The open plan living and dining area will have a log burning stove and a large balcony with views to the pistes opposite as well as across the valley; this area also benefits from a large flat screen TV with surround sound, ideal for watching films on DVD. The chalet has seven bedrooms; six of them have full en-suite facilities and one a private bathroom with spa bath. The entrance and ski deposit with boot warmers is on the first floor.
Location: In the centre of Plagne 1800 near the local shops. The ski bus stop for Plagne Centre is 100m; the ski school (ESF) and nearest piste are 300m away. |

Catering: | ::back to top | | Breakfast, afternoon tea and 3-course evening meal with wine for 6 days (self-serve breakfast for the chalet staff's day off).
For breakfast you can eat as much or as little as you like. Choose from fruit juice, cereals, muesli, fresh French bread with butter and preserves, as well as cooked eggs, porridge or one of the hot options and of course tea or coffee.
For afternoon tea, the most informal meal of the day, help yourself to home made cake or scones and biscuits, either eaten at the table or relaxing.
The evening meal is a dinner party style meal for adults and older children and is served at 8pm. For children aged 11 and under, high tea is served at 6pm, with child-friendly food. If you are travelling with children 12 years and older who require high tea, this must be requested prior to departure. If you are booking the whole chalet then you may all eat at the same time regardless of the age of the children.
Please mention any allergies or dietary requirements at time of booking and we will do our best to organise suitable catering for you. French supermarkets do not have the same range as British supermarkets, therefore if you have very strict dietary needs, it is helpful if you can bring a few items (e.g. gluten free cakes/biscuits for afternoon tea!) |
